Defending Champion South Carolina and #1 UConn to Square Off in Elite Eight for Spot in Final Four

"We are in the spot where we wanted to be when the season started", Geno Auremmia said on the practice day on Sunday. "Obviously it's not easy".

The Huskies when asked about playing in the March Madness atmosphere said "Any team that plays in this tournament is not the same team that was playing in February". "So every game that we go into, every practice that we go into, every session, its a matter of what we do we have to do for the game in front of us; try not to think back on what happened last time and understanding that everybody gets better as the season goes on and it should be a good game either way" Kia Nurse added.

UConn was in a similar situation last year, except this time in the Final Four, where the Huskies fell to Mississippi State.

The goal for UConn is one thing, shut down Aja Wilson. "We really need to limit their post touches and limit how many shots they get, like second chance shots and their rebounds and things like that" Collier said on Sunday.

Now without a doubt UConn has been the hottest team all season long, and it isn't going to be an easy challenge for the Gamecocks either. With UConn being the favorites, and SC being the national champions would that bother you if you played for South Carolina? "I feel like we have been the underdogs the whole season and my whole four years here, so honestly its not a different feeling from any other game". Aja Wilson said about being the so called underdogs.

"You can't take the banner away from me, you can't take my ring away from me"

Tip is set for 7PM at the TU Center
