Upstate Sports Zone Athlete of The Week: Joe Girard III
Once again Joe Girard III is our athlete of the week! After a 94 point week, setting the state record for all-time points scored, and scoring his 3,000th point, it wasn’t that hard of a decision. On Tuesday, January 30th Girard torched Amsterdam for 44 points and set the new NYS All-time scoring record. Four days later Girard took on Scotia at the Glens Falls Civic Center and dropped 50, while scoring his 3,000th point. The Indians take on Schuylerville on Friday at 7:30 pm at home.
