Mike Fisher Comes Out of Retirement as He Rejoins the Predators
Former captain and the husband of country superstar Carrie Underwood Mike Fisher is coming out of retirement to join the Nashville Predators again to aim for another Cup run. He signed a tryout contract with the Predators so he has the ability to skate with the team to get himself in game shape. Over the last couple of weeks the Predators called Fisher trying to see where his head was at, wondering if he was interested in a return. He wrestled with the idea and eventually made his decision to return. He said his family made it an easy decision, so he will be signing his contract before the February 26th trade deadline so he'll be eligible to play in the playoffs. Last year he tallied 18 goals while adding 24 assists which adds up to 42 points. Fisher will bring the leadership back to the locker room and will be ready to help lead the Predators back to the playoffs and potentially back to the Stanley Cup Finals, but this time raising the Cup.
