Duke Captures Four Top Ten Recruits

If Duke doesn’t win the National Championship next year, then that is the biggest disappointment in College Basketball history. You know why? Because Duke just secured ANOTHER top ten ESPN 100 recruit. That makes it FOUR top ten recruits for the Duke Blue Devils. Three of those four are the top three recruits. This is the first time in the ESPN 100 era that a single school has secured the top three recruits in a single class.

R.J. Barrett:

R.J. Barrett is the #1 recruit in this years class of 2018. The 6’7” small forward attends Montverde Academy in Florida, the #1 ranked team in the nation. This year Barrett was named a McDonald’s All-American. I got the pleasure of watching Barrett in person at Christ the King High School in the Bronx for the Dick’s National High School Championship vs La Lumiere. Despite losing Barrett put on a show, he took over that game.

Zion Williamson:

Zion Williamson is the #2 recruit in this years class of 2018. The 6’6” power forward is an internet sensation with his thunderous dunks. Zion attends Spartanburg Day School in Spartanburg, South Carolina. This year Zion averages 37 points per game, and 16 rebounds per game.

Cam Reddish:

Cam Reddish is the #3 recruit in this years class of 2018. The 6’7” small forward is the second ranked small forward behind Barrett. Currently attending Westtown School, Reddish was recruited by UCLA, UConn, Villanova, Kentucky, and the Blue Devils, but ultimately chose Duke.

Tre Jones:

Last but not least is Tre Jones. Jones is the #10 recruit in the class of 2018. He is ranked as the #1 point guard in this years class. Tre plays at Apple Valley high school where he averages 25 points per contest, 9 rebounds per game, 5 assists per game, and 4 steals per game.
