Jon Cooper Named Head Coach of the Atlantic Division for the All-Star Game
Jon Cooper is coaching the league’s best team in the Tampa Bay Lightning. He has led them to a 29-9-3 record that is tops in the league. Now he’s got the honor of leading the Atlantic roster in the All-Star Game for the first time in his career. His captain will be his own captain on his team in Steven Stamkos. Along with Jon Cooper getting the announcement of leading the Atlantic, Capitals head coach Barry Trotz will lead the Metropolitan Division, Nashville Predators coach Peter Laviovette will lead the Central Division, and finally Vegas's Gerard Gallant will lead the Pacific Division. The coaches will be responsible to coach each divisions team in the 3-on-3 tournament that has been a very exciting tournament on the final day of All-Star Weekend. The rest of the All-Stars rosters will be announced on Wednesday.
