NHL All-Star Game Captains Announced
The NHL All-Star Game is heading to Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida where the Tampa Bay Lightning will be hosting the best players in the NHL for All-Star Weekend. Here were the top vote getters to be the captains of each respective divisions.
Steven Stamkos (Atlantic): This was the obvious choice since he plays for the hometown team the Lightning. This will be Stamkos’ fifth-time in the All-Star Game.
Alex Ovechkin: (Metropolitan): Alex Ovechkin is now a seven-time All-Star and currently leads the league in goals.
P.K. Subban: (Central): P.K. will be representing the reigning Western Conference Champions Nashville Predators where this will be his third straight All-Star Game.
Conner McDavid: (Pacific): Many fans think McDavid is the new face of the NHL and he will be going to his second All-Star Game in his young career.
We will know the rest of the rosters when the NHL announces the rest of the rosters on Wednesday, Jan 10.
