Upstate Sports Zone’s Athlete of the Week: Joe Girard III
JG3 is our Athlete of the Week yet again. This guy is ridiculous, on Wednesday he dropped 45 on Ogdensburg Free Academy, while hitting 11 three's, a Glens Falls school record. On Thursday he dropped 50 on Hoosick Falls. Girard is now 9th on the all-time New york State High School basketball scoring list. He currently has 2,592 points and is just 24 points from setting the Section 2 all-time scoring record. He also only 354 points from passing Lance Stephenson for first on the NYS all-time High School scoring list. Girard and the Indians take on Schuylerville on January 5th at 7:30 PM in Schuylerville in their next contest.
