Upstate Sports Zone’s Athlete of the Week: Joe Girard III (X2)
Our third winter sports Athlete of the Week is Glens Falls Joe Girard III! Joe lit it up once again on Thursday and Friday, scoring a combined 108 points in two games. On Thursday he scored 48 to beat Johnstown, 87-70. On Friday he scored 60 points, defeating Amsterdam 86-76. Joe is now one point behind Glens Falls legend Jimmer Fredette for first on the all-time Glens Falls scoring list. Joe and the Indians take on Scotia at home on Tuesday at 7:30 PM, and on Friday they travel to Queensbury for a 7:30 PM game.
