State Ranked Ichabod Crane Girls XC Team Has Big Day at Home
The 23rd ranked Girls Cross-Country team in New York State is the Ichabod Crane Riders. The girls hosted Lansingburgh, Watervliet, and Schalmont in a league meet on October 3rd. Schalmont’s Kerry Flower won the girls’ race with a time of 21:16. 8th grader Victoria Slade lead the way for the Riders coming in 2nd place with a time of 22:00. Watervliet’s top runner was Lillith Bestle with a time of 24:05, and Lansingburgh’s top runner was Jasmine Salgado with a time of 27:31. The Riders defeated the Sabres, Cannoneers, and Knights as none of them had complete teams. The Riders next meet is on Tuesday, October 10th at home vs Cobleskill at 4:15 pm.
