Broncos Defense Shuts Down Prescott
The Denver Broncos faced the Dallas Cowboys at Mile-High stadium. The Broncos have the best at home record in the league. A lot of that success can be owed to the game environment at Mile High. Many athletes would agree that Broncos home field is one of the hardest fields to play at. The Broncos’ defense was credited with stopping the Cowboys’ powerful offensive ability. Von Miller recorded two sacks on Prescott, yet gave him pressure on a third of his pass attempts. Prescott was overwhelmed with all the penetration against his line that it affected his accuracy. He threw two interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown. Elliott is a huge part of Dallas’ offense, and the Broncos held him to eight yards. The Cowboys adjusted to the best of their ability by targeting Dez Bryant and Jason Witten more and more, but even with those efforts each only had seven and ten receptions and a touchdown respectively.
The Cowboys kept pushing, yet wasn’t able to come back from the twenty-five point deficit. Broncos came out on top 42-17, in the battle between the top defense versus the top offensive lines.
