Ichabod Crane Girls Soccer Drops Season Opener To Voorheesville
The Ichabod Crane Riders girls Varsity soccer team suffered a tough 6-0 loss to the Voorheesville Blackbirds on Tuesday night. Voorheesville started the game off strong, scoring at the 25 minute mark. With 2 minutes left the Riders were down 3-0 heading into the half. The Blackbirds continued to score in the second half, scoring three more times to eventually win 6-0. “Despite the lopsided scoreline the team battled all game and never gave up.” said Coach Sean Dugan.
The Riders take on Ravena tomorrow night (Thursday, August 31st) at home at 6:30 pm. Voorheesville’s next match is on Thursday as well, as they will be travelling to Watervliet to play at 4:15 pm.
