Mayweather Remains Perfect, Defeats McGregor In Fight Of The Century

What a fight! What a freakin’ fight! Man that was awesome! That’s what every boxing fan wanted right there! Forget the outcome for a second, that was a tremendous fight! Conor McGregor isn’t even a boxer and the dude hangs in there for 10 rounds against one of the greatest boxers ever! Are you kidding me?! TEN ROUNDS people!

Conor came out throwing haymakers everywhere, this dude was going crazy. Floyd was just chillin there not throwing punches but playing defense, protecting himself. Conor was landing a couple, but he wasted most of them and he wasted most of his energy which would come back to bite him, but we’ll get to that later. Conor easily had the first four or five rounds. They were easily his.

The sixth round is where things changed though. Floyd started to get more into it and started punching back. They were trading blows for what seemed to be the whole round. They were going back and forth and back and forth and it was nothing short of amazing! This round was the turning point of the whole match, Floyd caught up to Conor and never looked back.

After that sixth round it was all Money Mayweather. Floyd was killing Conor with the right, and like I said before Conor wasting all those blows would come back to bite him and it did. He was gassed in the seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth rounds. Conor was even lucky to get out of the ninth round, he was getting blasted by Floyd’s right.

All in all this was one of the greatest fights ever. You have to hand it to both of these competitors. Conor had never even stepped foot in a professional boxing ring before and he lasted 10 round against one of the best fighters ever. McGregor landed 111 punches in this match, that is 30 more than Manny Pacquiao managed in his fight. Thats amazing. This guy comes from the UFC and does that much damage against one of, if not the greatest fighter ever. One thing I was disappointed in though was that the ref called it instead of letting Conor get knocked out. Conor said it himself after the fight: “Let me go down. Let the man put me down.” It was kind of disappointing to not see a knock out after both fighters said they would knock each other out. But other than that it was a great fight, I don’t watch boxing a ton, only big fights like this but this sure did amp me up! I just can’t believe how great of a fight that was. We all just witnessed history.
