Nunez Makes Big Boston Arrival

Eduardo Nunez has only been with the Red Sox for 2 games, and he’s already one of my favorite players. He’s already better in 2 games then Pablo Sandoval was in 140 + games. On Friday night Nunez went 2 for 3 with a walk. No it wasn’t a tremendous game, but Nunez had 2-hits in his first game in Boston. Last night was by far a wayyyyy better game. Nunez was on fire! He went 3 for 6 with 3 RBIs, and scored 2 runs. He finished the game with not 1, but 2 dingers. His first came in the 3rd inning, and was a solo shot over the monster. Nunez hit another home run to lead off the 5th inning. That home run would allow the Sox to take a 5-4 lead. The game went on to extra innings, tied 8-8. In the bottom of the 10th Nunez stepped up to the plate again. Sandy Leon, the winning run was on third. Nunez hit a groundball to shortstop Alcides Escobar who made a diving stop and fired to first to get Nunez, but Leon scored from third on a tremendous dodge of the tag, and the Sox won 9-8! Nunez had a huge day and if he continues to perform well in Boston he could easily become a quick fan favorite!
