Tyler Johnson Resigns with Tampa Bay
Monday night the Tampa Bay Lighting and forward Tyler Johnson announced that both sides agreed to a 7yr/$35M dollar deal. GM Steve Yzerman made it a goal that he could resign Johnson before going to arbitration. Johnson is coming off a season where he finished with 19 goals, 26 assists, adding up to 45 points. Inking Johnson to a contract means they have 2/3 of the triplets signed. Yzerman was determined to give all the Lighting core players extensions and he has done that the past two years, setting up a bright future. Next on the list for an extension is Johnsons line mate forward Ondrej Palat.
