James Neal And The Predators Steal Game 1

Last night the Nashville Predators played in the Western Conference Finals for the first time in franchise history. It was a memorable night because they went on to win the game in overtime winning 3-2 by a game winning goal from James Neal which was his fourth of the playoffs. The Ducks scored first by a goal by Jakob Silfverberg which was his eighth of the playoffs. The Ducks lead didn’t last long because Fillip Forsberg tied the game at one with his fourth of the playoffs. Austin Watson broke the one-one tie for Nashville with a goal and Nashville was in the driver’s seat. Late in the third, Hampus Lindholm scored off the faceoff to tie it at two to force overtime. Going into overtime, Nashville had the advantage because less than 24 hours ago the Ducks beat the Oilers to move on to the conference finals and they were a little gassed. Nashville took advantage of that and they end up winning 3-2 over the Ducks in Anaheim to take a 1-0 lead in the series. Pekka Rinnie finished with 29 saves. The Predators keep rolling and the Ducks look to slow them down and even the series at one, while the Predators look to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the series. Game 2 is on Sunday at 7:30 EST on NBCSN.
