Pitching Sucks Again as Sox Drop Game 2 7-4
Travis Shaw must be laughing hysterically. The Red Sox lost to the Brewers again last night 7-4. As seen in my title the pitching was awful once again. This time it was Kyle Kendrick who pitched just 4.1 innings and gave up 6 earned runs on 10 hits. Yes the Red Sox offense only scored 4 runs and they are going up against a good offensive team, but 4 runs can win you ballgames. Speaking about the Sox offense Christian Vazquez went 2 for 3 with a double and a run scored. The Brewers showed up and it showed. Keon Broxton had another good day going 2 for 5 with 2 runs scored. Hernan Perez also went 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs. Chase Anderson got the start and went 4.2 innings allowing 2 earned runs on 9 hits. He struck out 4. Rob Scahill got the W though going 2.1 allowing no runs on no hits and walking just 2. Kendrick took the L on the hill for the Sox and is now 0-2 on the year. Game 3 is tomorrow at 1:10 as Eduardo Rodriguez takes on Jimmy Nelson.
