Today, we have learned that Adrian Peterson is officially been taken off free agency. Peterson confirmed this morning that he will be signing with the Saints for a 2 year/$7 million contract. This comes after Peterson left the Vikings after they decided not to option his contract. The Saints were the only team to offer him a contract this offseason. He will most likely be the backup for Mark Ingram next season. Peterson has an amazing resume not counting all of his injuries. He is a 7x pro-bowler, 4x All-First team, 3 rushing titles, and an MVP award in 10 years with the Vikings. Peterson will have to prove himself in order to play in the starting lineup.
