Talbot Posts Shutout, Oilers Making Noise
The Edmonton Oilers looked to take game 3 to take the series lead, which looked good for them considering that they have a 4-0-2 record when at the Sharks home arena. Cam Talbot came into the game after his first career playoff shutout. From the get go this game was a goaltending duel, with both Talbot and Jones making key saves to keep this game scoreless. Chances would come from McDavid on one end to Tomas Hertl on the other. This game stayed scoreless until about halfway into the third as Zack Kassian picked up a turnover and put in a backhand to give the Oilers 1-0 lead and the 1-0 win. Kassian would score in 2 games straight, and Cam Talbot would post to straight shutouts as the Oilers take the 2-1 series lead.
