Nashville Takes Commanding Lead in the Series
Coming into the game, the Predators had shut out the Blackhawks in both games and took a 2-0 series lead back home. To begin the second period, Chicago’s scoreless streak finally ended with a goal from Dennis Rasmussen. Later in the period, Patrick Kane scored which was assisted by Duncan Keith and Jonathan Toews. Chicago finally had a lead in the series and Filip Forsberg didn’t care because he had a pair of goals in the third period to tie it up at two and eventually went to overtime. Each team had their chances in the overtime period and Nashville finally capitalized on an opportunity with a sick goal from Kevin Fiala to win the game. Nashville takes a commanding lead in the series up 3-0 and they can make history by sweeping Chicago on Thursday night at 8:00 pm EST on NBCSN.
