Canadiens Edge Rangers, Take Series Lead
The Canadiens took game number three as Carey Price made 21 saves to lead them to this win. There was no scoring in the first, just superstar goaltending and a few lucky bounces. Montreal would be able to score in the second period around the 17 minute mark as Artturi Lehkonen would score on the powerplay to make the game 1-0 Canadiens. Shea Weber would strike next as he scored on the powerplay around 7 minutes into the third period to make it 2-0. Montreal would finish off the Rangers as Alexander Radulov would score on a beautiful goal as he tucked the puck in with one hand. The Rangers would strike eventually, 3 minutes later Brady Skjei would score his first playoff goal of his career to make it 3-1. Henrik Lundqvist’s 26 saves couldn't help as best as it did in game 1.
