Khiry Shelton Reportedly Out 4-6 Weeks
Today, NYCFC announced that winger Kiry Shelton has been ruled out 4-6 weeks. Shelton came up in the injury in the final minutes of the 2-0 W over the Union. This season Shelton hasn’t seen a ton of minutes comparing to seasons in the past, but when Viera plays him it is usually fun to see. This game he replaced rising upcomer Jack Harrison, looking to close out the road win.
With a key home schedule coming up ahead, including Orlando City and Atlanta United. Orlando is on a tear right now, and Shelton is a key sub that gives city depth when they need it. There are also away matches he will be missing in Columbus and Dallas.
The hoping return will be May 17th against Real Salt Lake, a west coast foe that NYC will need to pick up big W. If not the return, check out my twitter @jakemupstate or stay with the site for an update.
