McDavid Shines, Oilers Tie Series

The Edmonton Oilers looked to tie the series before heading to San Jose for games 3 and 4, and that’s what they did. The first period was a blank on the scoreboard, and only the goalies shined. Then only 82 seconds into the second period, the Sharks would turn the puck over giving Zack Kassian a shorthanded breakaway and he would not fail to capitalize as he gives the Oilers the 1-0 lead. Then, Martin Jones held the fort again for the Sharks, keeping this game at 1-0. Then 11 minutes into the third period, Connor McDavid would get a 2 on 1 shorthanded chance and he would score to make this game 2-0. This is McDavid’s first NHL point and first NHL goal in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Oilers have tied the series 1-1 going into game 3 in San Jose Sharks.
