Crosby Leads Penguins to 2 Game Lead
Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins took a 2-0 series lead over the Columbus Blue Jackets with game 3 headed to Columbus. Sidney Crosby would score 3 points in this game that had the Pens above the Jackets 4-1. The first goal would come from Crosby as stuffed in a pass that came from Jake Guentzel 8 minutes into the first. Columbus would be able to get the next tally at 7 minutes into the second as Brandon Saad would score on a Blue Jackets 3 on 2 breakaway as the puck beat Fleury on his glove side. Jake Guentzel would strike 51 seconds later as he got a feed from Sidney Crosby to make the game 2-1 Pens. Evgeni Malkin would score on a wide open net after Crosby gave him a beautiful feed to put the Pens ahead 3-1. The last goal came from Patric Hornqvist as he sealed the deal on an empty net goal. This puts the Penguins ahead of the Jackets 2 games to none.
