The King Stands Tall, Rangers Win Game 1
The New York Rangers beat the Montreal Canadiens in game 1 by a score of 2-0 to take game one. Both teams came out physical looking to get the advantage over their opponent. Then, 10 minutes into the first, Tanner Glass would jump on a faceoff won by Montreal and put a backhand over the glove side of Carey Price. Then from there, no team would take an advantage, these rivals played physical throughout the rest of the game. Then with a little over 90 seconds remaining, Michael Grabner would put in the empty-net-goal to finish game 1. Henrik Lundqvist posted his 10th postseason shutout, passing Mike Richter for the most in Rangers history.
