Stewart and Listing Seal It, Rubino Sits Down 12, LSI Beats Ravena in Comeback
Ravena NY- “The game was unreal” pitcher James Rubino added after the game. The Cadets took on Ravena Tuesday afternoon, with the sun shining bright, you knew baseball was back. La Salle for the first six innings although were ice cold. Through the first 6, the Cadets didn’t put a single run on the board. Rubino was dealing for La Salle, only allowing 2 earned, 4 total complete game. But how did the comeback begin? It all started with none other than outfielder Cory Listing, driving in two with outs in the 7th to go up 5-4. Carson Stewart gave Rubino some insurance hitting an RBI single to give the Cadets a 6-4 lead going into the bottom half. “It was a great all around team win” Rubino concluded after the game. For Ravena, something they don’t want to see happen again. As good as La Salle is, this wasn’t a good way to play, from behind.
La Salle takes on Cobleskill Thursday at Geer Field in South Troy, and Ravena takes on Albany Academy today at 4:15 at home.
