Rose Makes it a Two Way Tie, Spieth and others Rise Up Leaderboard
After day three of The Masters, Justin Rose finished six under par which placed him at a tie at first place along with Sergio Garcia. Previous leader Charley Hoffman shot a 72 which brought him down to a tie for third place. Jordan Spieth steamed up the leaderboard, now at four under par and in a great position coming into Masters Sunday. Rickie Fowler went one under par for the day, sliding into second place. But the story of the day was Justin Rose, who shot a 67 and charged from one under to six under, good enough to give him a lead shared with only Sergio Garcia. Rose’s consistent play was what shocked me. Every shot he hit was spot on. He putted the ball exceptionally well, too.
Masters Sunday is tomorrow, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store. If Justin Rose can repeat a day like today, he will be in an ideal position to win. But the opportunity is certainly there for players like Rickie Fowler, Jordan Spieth, and Ryan Moore. Keep an eye out for Charley Hoffman, who, if he repeats his Thursday performance, can jump back up to the top of the leaderboard. Time can only tell who will prevail.
