The way UNC had to end their season last year was tragic, buzzer beater in the National Championship. How could you forget? Classic shot by Jenkins at the buzzer to give Villanova the National Championship. Something Nova couldn’t follow up with although, back to back trips to the Final Four, something UNC accomplished. Their 20th Final Four appearance in school history, this year could end as almost as magical as last year. 2 of 4 #1 Seeds left in the tournament, it still isn’t going to be an easy ride as they face a test in Oregon. The Ducks recently upset #1 seed Kansas in a blowout. It won’t be any easy test for the Heels, Dylan Brooks vs. Justin Jackson, Tyler Dorsey vs. Theo Pinson/Joel Berry. The shot that put them into this game they can thank Mr. Luke Maye who hit it at the buzzer to beat Kentucky. The Tar Heels know how to play late, but have trouble closing games, a common trend in the tournament. Joel Berry suffered an ankle injury in the last game, but he says he is good to go. “It is the last two games of the season, I am not going to sit out”. UNC in my mind should have no problems, but if Oregon could give them a run for their money, which would be an amazing matchup. That game is set to take place Saturday night at 8:49 on CBS in Phoenix.
