The Sweet 16 is now set! Sweet 16 games begin Thursday, March 23rd. Here is your Midwest Sweet Sixteen preview!
The Teams:
#1 Kansas:
Kansas is the number one seed in this region and deservingly so. The Jayhawks just beat a very well coached Michigan State team by 20. This team is on a role! Josh Jackson and Frank Mason III are turning it up and there’s no telling whether this team will stop or not!
#3 Oregon
Dillon Brooks leads a Oregon Duck team into the Sweet Sixteen who is without forward Chris Bouchard. The Ducks also only beat #11 Rhode Island by 3, so it will be interesting to see how they do against this hot Michigan squad.
#4 Purdue
Naismith Award Finalist Caleb Swanigan leads his Boilermakers into the Sweet Sixteen after a close win over Iowa State. Coming into the game against Kansas, Purdue has a big task ahead of them. They’ll look to upset the Jayhawks title hopes.
#7 Michigan
Michigan is on FIRE right now! The B1G Ten champs enter the Sweet Sixteen on a 7-game win streak. This team has a legitimate shot at upsetting #3 Oregon and making a run at the Final 4.
