March Madness: Midwest Region Round of 32 Preview
The Round of 32 kicks off tonight! Here is your preview for the Midwest Region!
Teams 2 Watch 4:
#7 Michigan:
Michigan is heating up. They got a big first round win over #10 Oklahoma State in a high scoring battle. Michigan used a 3-point barrage (16/29) to propel them to a victory. Next they take on #2 Louisville which should be another high scoring affair.
#3 Oregon:
Oregon demolished #14 Iona 93-77 in the first round. Iona isn’t a great team, but they’re not a bad team so that was a very impressive win for the Ducks to beat them by 16. The Ducks take on Rhode Island in the Round of 32.
#2 Louisville:
Louisville got a big win over #15 Jacksonville State in the Round of 64 78-63 in a game which I thought could have been an upset. The ‘ville heads into the Round of 32 ready to take on a hot Michigan team led by Derrick Walton Jr.
#11 Rhode Island:
Rhode Island is playing tremendous basketball right now. They were an 11-seed and beat 6-seeded Creighton 84-72. They beat them by 12 points in a game that was supposed to be close. The Rams are just getting started and I think they can give #3 Oregon a run for their money.
#9 Michigan State:
Michigan State did not have a great regular season like they usually do, but it’s tourney time and Tom Izzo is getting his guys geared up! Miles Bridges is a fantastic talent that can lead this Spartan team!
#5 Iowa State:
Iowa State is looking good! Deonte Burton down low and Monte Morris up top can be a dangerous situation when they play Purdue tonight at 9:40!
