March Madness Preview: South Region
The South Region is loaded with great individual talent with Justin Jackson leading the number one seed North Carolina Tar Heels, on the two-line Kentucky with Malik Monk, and finally number three seed UCLA lead by potential number one pick Lonzo Ball. This has the potential to be the best bracket in the tournament if there is no early exits with the top three seeds.
Games:
(1)North Carolina vs. (16) Texas Southern
(8) Arkansas vs. (9) Seton Hall
(5) Minnesota vs. (12) Middle Tennessee
(4)Butler vs. (13) Winthrop
(6) Cincinnati vs. (11) KST/WF
(3) UCLA vs. (14) Kent St.
(7) Dayton vs. (10) Wichita St
(2) Kentucky vs. (15) N. Kentucky
I believe that Wichita St. should’ve at least got a 5 seed and not a 10 seed. If they beat Dayton, I wouldn’t consider it an upset, but if Dayton wins its an upset. I think Carolina will have a tough time getting to Phoenix because they have the potential to play UCLA or Kentucky and both teams especially UCLA have offensive fire power. An upset to look out for when you do your brackets is Minnesota versus Middle Tennessee. As we all know they shocked the world last year and beat number two Michigan St. last year and they could do the same. Obviously, they wouldn’t shock that many people because they’re playing an above average team in Minnesota that doesn’t compare to Michigan St. last year. They have the size and the offensive abilities to beat Minnesota. North Carolina has the chance to make it back to the Final Four and potentially win the National Championship because like Justin Jackson put it, they have unfinished business to accomplish.
