Carolina Rolls Over Miami, Advance to play Duke in ACC Tournament

One thing the Tar Heels wanted in this game, revenge. After losing to Miami earlier in the season, UNC went on a run winning the last 8 of 10 to end the regular season.

One thing that the Heels couldn’t do against Miami was locking down Bruce Brown. In the loss earlier in the season, Brown added 30 points in the effort to beat Carolina. Last night though, Williams figured it out and locked down Brown to hold him to 21.

Another thing the Heels couldn’t do prior to last night against the Hurricanes was to get the big men involved. It showed last night, only getting one man involved still led Carolina to victory. Isiah Hicks had 19 points, Meeks only 10, but still having the two senior big men in double figures, you know it is only going to get better.

The highlight of the night was when Theo Pinson attempted to alley-oop from the three-point line, nobody had to finish the alley-oop because it went in the hoop.

UNC’s ACC player of the year Justin Jackson, had 12 but played big on the defensive end, only limiting the Hurricanes to 36% from the field.

The defense and intensity needs to keep going for the Tar Heels as they look to roll over Duke and advance to the ACC Championship. The rematch part three, begins tonight at 7PM on ESPN.
