Who Should Start For The Boston Red Sox on Opening Day?
The Boston Red Sox are in a little bit of a pickle, and it’s not exactly an awful one. The question all Red Sox fans are asking is “Who do the Boston Red Sox start on Opening Day?” The answer is not very easy and this is a very tough decision to make, they really can’t go wrong either way. They should start Rick Porcello on Opening Day.
Porcello is the guy in my mind. He is the only guy out of the three that we know can deliver a win, especially at Fenway. Last year Price didn't do so great, well at least not as good as we all hoped. Price struggled at home, he's a lefty and lefties struggle at Fenway. Chris Sale is also a lefty and it is his first year with the Red Sox and at Fenway so he's going to have to get used to it.
On the other hand think price can get it together this year, I think he needed that one year to get used to Fenway. Chris Sale is also a good option having a pretty good year last year he only boosts the Boston rotation. Although Porcello is the reigning AL Cy Young Award winner and he was given that award for a reason posting a 22-4 win/loss record, a 3.15 era, all in 223.0 innings.
The Red Sox should start Porcello on Opening Day. Like I said before the Red Sox are in a pickle but it’s not a bad one. The whole nation is patiently waiting on the Sox decision and I think it will come after Spring Training. The Boston Red Sox are in a little bit of a pickle, and it’s not exactly an awful one.
