3 Key Players to Look Out for in the MAAC Tournament

One of the most underrated conference in College Basketball is the MAAC. Full of unrecognized talent, in teams from Monmouth, Siena and Iona. The high ranking teams kick off tonight, here are three key players to look out for during the weekend.
Justin Robinson
Team: Monmouth
Class: Senior
Stats: 19ppg, 4.8ast, 3.9reb
Breakdown: One of the most underrated teams in college basketball is Monmouth. Winning 16 straight, the key to their success is senior guard Justin Robinson. Robinson can do it all, drive, penetrate, pull up and play lock down defense. The key for Monmouth on Friday night is going to be get Justin Robinson. Especially due to the fact that the stats show that the TU Center is a popular spot, dropping 40pts this year and 36pts last year against Siena. If Monmouth wins big, it will be because Robinson is playing his game.

2. Marquis Wright
Team: Siena
Class: Senior
Stats: 16.5ppg, 4.1rpg, 4.9
Breakdown: Siena is currently one of the hottest teams rolling into the MAAC tournament. The leader has been Marquis Wright for the Saints. With the possibility of Nico Clareth being out with an ankle injury for Saturdays game against Fairfield. Marquis has been hot the last 8 games, scoring in double figures. Wright will hopefully take advantage playing at his home court for one of the final times.

3. Jordan Washington
Team: Iona
Class: Senior
Stats: 17.7ppg, 7.5rpg,
Breakdown: The one thing that makes Iona good is the way they play the big man Jordan Washington. Currently in his senior year, he as played with great guards over the years that have been able to get him the ball. He can post up, drive and shoot. A common pattern of all of these patterns
