Shen Hockey Dominates CBA, Heading to Final
FINAL Shen 5 CBA 1
Union College- In game one of two at Union, Shen took advantage of playing of the privilege to play at Union.
A slow start for both teams, but when Shen broke out of its shell, they caught a little fire. Scoring two goals in five minutes during the second period to extend the lead. One of the many negatives I noticed in CBA tonight was that their back line was weak against the Shen surging offense. That hurt the brothers in the long run. After Shen posted 2 unanswered goals, CBA fired right back. Shen wanted this game more than CBA, and once the brothers fired back with that goal, Shen topped it with one goal for insurance and one goal for the blowout. The blowout coming with 15.9 seconds left. Brennan Alheim dominated for Shen adding two goals and an assist. In goal, Jared Vandeloo had 26 saves with a .963 goal save percentage.
CBA was a hot team coming in, upsetting a solid team in Bethlehem. On the other hand, Shen is just as hot as CBA was. Hopefully Shen can keep this hot streak going when they take on #1 Seed La Salle in the championship. That game takes place Tuesday night @Union College 6:30 Puck Drop.
