La Salle Rallies, Take Out Plainsmen

The La Salle Cadets were a huge underdog coming into tonights game against the Shenendehowa Plainsmen with the Cadets being a number 7 seed and the Plainsmen being ranked number 2. The Cadets came into tonight after a big win over Guilderland Dutchmen in overtime last Tuesday, looking to beat the Plainsmen. The Cadets came out of the gates looking to advance getting help from Kyle Borey, Joe DeLollo and Ray Evans giving them the 20-11 lead after the first, and the second was no different. The Cadets bursted out in the second getting helpers from DeLollo, Borey, Seth LaForest and Tim Carroll. The Cadets had a 37-20 point lead over the Plainsmen going into halftime. Then the Plainsmen woke up. They were able to score 15 points the third quarter, closing the gap, while the Cadets would only score 8 that quarter, while the Cadets still had the lead 45-35 lead going into the final quarter. The Plainsmen would score 13 points in the final quarter, while the Cadets would only put up 9, mostly from free throws. The Cadets would eventually take the win over the Plainsmen by a score of 54-48. The Cadets were led by Joe DeLollo and Kyle Borey. DeLollo would score 15 points and Borey would get 14. The Plainsmen were led by Jaia Benson and Mike Preziketti. Benson scored 11 and Preziketti had 10.

The Cadets play Bethlehem Tuesday, February 28th at the Glens Falls Civic Center.
