Ichabod Defeats Schuylerville In Section 2 Class B Round of 16
1st Half:
Ichabod defeated Schuylerville on Tuesday night 65-54 in the Section 2 Class B Round of 16. In the first half Ichabod shot poorly, but rebounded very well. Their was one possession where they missed 3 shots, but had 4 offensive rebounds. They rebounded so much on the offensive end that it didn’t matter how many shots they took they would eventually put the ball in the hoop. Passing wasn’t great they had some turnovers in the first half, but not as bad as it would get in the 2nd half.
2nd Half:
As Camdyn stated, the Riders’ passing took a turn for the worst in the 2nd half. Yet, the Riders kept their cool and maintained their focus on adding on to their lead. Around the end of the 3rd quarter the Riders increased their lead to 10 points. Schuylerville played very well, and they capitalized on Ichabod’s mistakes. In the end Schuylerville put a great fight against the #4 Ichabod and just couldn't come out on top. Some key players that wreaked havoc on Schuylerville was Joey Warner who had 18, and Peter Volkmann who out rebounded and out hustled everyone on that Schuylerville squad. Key players that put up a great fight against Ichabod’s senior majority lineup were Justin Carte and Stratton Sherman. Who both put up double digits and led Schuylerville throughout the game. All in all, it was a great game between #4 Ichabod and #13 Schuylerville. Ichabod moves on to play Hudson on Friday night at Hudson Valley Community College.
