DeMarcus Cousins on the Move
Yesterday night after the All-Star game, the NBA got big news. DeMarcus Cousins is going to New Orleans to play for the Pelicans. The Kings traded Cousins and Omri Casspi for Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans, Langston Galloway, and 1st and 2nd round picks from Philadelphia. We all saw this come as a shock and there is only one question on all of our minds. Why would the Kings give up their best player for all that you have gotten from the Pelicans? The answer could be because of all of the trouble that Cousins has gotten in, including leading the league in technical fouls. Some of the reason could be that DeMarcus could have gotten around $200 million if he stayed in Sacramento. The Kings probably would not have wanted to give him that much money. Now, the Pelicans lineup is going to be really good for the second half of the season. The Pelicans have 2 of the 3 players averaging 20+ points and 10+ rebounds in the NBA (the 3rd guy is Russell Westbrook). What can we see from The Brow and Boogie? Most likely, something that no one has ever seen before. We can only wait and see what the future holds for the Pelicans.
