Riders Capture Huge Win Heading Into Sectionals
On Friday night the La Salle Cadets traveled to Ichabod Crane to take on the Riders in both teams final regular season games before sectionals. Ichabod started off hot leading the Cadets 21-13 at the end of the 1st. The Riders shot well making 22 shots, 5 threes and 17 from inside the arc. The Riders took a 10 point lead at half. The crowd was into it all night. The atmosphere was ecstatic the whole game and really gave Ichabod some momentum as they upset the Cadets 59-54. Pete Volkmann poured in 26 for the Riders, Brad Kittle added 9, and Austin Valliere finished with 8. For the Cadets Ray Evans finished with 19, Ian Duncan dropped 14 and Joe DeLollo added 8.
