What The Vols Need to Do to Get Into The Big Dance
The young Tennessee Volunteers team hopes to sneak into the big dance this year. The Vols (currently 14-10)have had some big SEC wins this year including an upset of #4 Kentucky, a 10 point win over Texas A&M, a win @ Vanderbilt, home vs Mississippi State, and a win last night at home vs Ole Miss. They have also had some tough losses though to teams like Gonzaga, Arkansas, Florida, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Oregon, Wisconsin, Chattanooga, and an awful loss @ Mississippi State where they did not rebound at all losing the rebound battle 55-45. If the Vols want to make it to the tournament they need to gather some wins against Georgia, Missouri, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, LSU, and Alabama. They can afford to lose @ Kentucky, but they can win that game it will be tough, very tough but they can, will they? Probably not, but they can. They also need to do work in the SEC Tournament. I think they could get to the SEC Tournament semifinals. This would be the first time since 2014 where the Vols made it to the Sweet 16 that they would be in the tournament. If they do slip into the tournament I think they can make some noise if they get going.
