Tatum Flashes Full Potential as Blue Devils Hold Off Notre Dame, 84-74
It wasn't a very pretty win and at times, looked as if Duke was about to blow the lead, the Duke Blue Devils managed to get there second ACC win in a row, defeating the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 84-74.
Duke as a team managed to shoot 23-24 from the free throw line, with the lone miss coming from Amile Jefferson. Grayson Allen was the leading scorer of the game for both the Blue Devils and Fighting Irish, putting up 21 points on 6-13 shooting from the field, and 3-7 from deep. He also added 5 rebounds and 3 assists.
While Allen was the leading scorer, the highlight player for the Blue Devils came in the form of Jayson Tatum. Tatum managed to put up his first career double-double, putting up 19 points on 8-14 shooting, and grabbing 14 rebounds.
