What's Next for the Cowboys? By Andrew Martin
The Cowboys have had a stellar season this year. With the uprising of Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott to the improving of their defense, they looked like they were unstoppable. That was until their season came to a depressing end in the NFC Divisional Round in their game vs. the Packers. They lost a tough game that night against a Packers team that was on a 7 game winning streak up to that game. So, the big question remains, what is next for the Dallas Cowboys? They already have shown that they have the potential to win the Super Bowl next year. What else could they do? The first obvious thing that is probably going to happen is that they going to cut Tony Romo. He has 3 years/ $54 million left on his contact with $24 million going into next season. Just think about all of that money wasted. Their best bet is to trade him to another team. Some possible teams including the Broncos, Jets, or Bears. Another thing is that they have a draft pick in the first round. I’m not saying it’s a good one at 28th, but there could be some potential to get a really player near the end of the first round. Just look at where Mark Ingram was in 2011. He was picked with the 28th pick by New Orleans and he is a pro-bowl running back. A lot of things could happen with the Cowboys this offseason. We will just have to wait and see what happens.
