Cowboys vs. Packers Breakdown by Austin Walsh

The Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers play today at 4:40pm ET for the chance to play in the NFC championship game against Matt Ryan and his Falcons. The two teams have battled for this spot before against each other.

The Cowboys are fresh off a bye week and the Packers are coming off of a sweep over the Giants in the NFC Wild Card game. Both teams have been doing exceptionally well throughout the season.

Aaron Rodgers has been carrying the team through their past wins and is still hot. The Cowboys will have to find a way to stop Rodgers in order to win this game. Rodgers’s most targeted wide receiver, Jordy Nelson, is out for today's game from a rib injury.

The Cowboys’ offense could be what wins the game. They have been putting up good yards per drive all season and I expect them to keep their momentum going through this game. All in all this is going to be a close game and a great matchup. A rookie QB versus a veteran QB. Whoever wins this game will play the Falcons on the 22nd.

Prediction: I predict the Cowboys will top the Packers 27-24 and advance to the NFC championship game.
