Jimmy Walker Out to a Hot Start, SBS Tournament of Champions Round 1 Recap by Jake Martino
The PGA Champ Jimmy Walker is already off to a great start at the Tournament of Champions. Shooting an impressive 31 on the front nine with three birdies and an eagle on the fifth hole. At 38 years of age this would be another impressive win to add on the Walker’s resume. Last year’s Jordan Spieth showed lots of potential in the first round playing with partner Dustin Johnson. Spieth shot a round one 72 currently sitting at T22, but expect him to rise up through round two and three. Jason Day also made big headlines in his return to golf looking good in his new Nike gear. Day shot a round one score of 70 with a couple of bogeys which can easily be solved as the tournament goes on.
Round two should be an interesting one, it continues at 10:20AM (Hawaii Local Time) when James Hahn takes the course. TV coverage begins starting at 6PM ET on the Golf Channel.
