Triplets are Back and the Lightning are getting healthy at the right time by Jared McCabe
Last night the Tampa Bay Lighting won a thriller in overtime 4-3 over the Montreal Canadians. The Lighting were behind most of the game and they came alive in the third period getting goals from defender Victor Hedman and one from the triplets Ondrej Palat. Their goals tied the game up and in overtime the Lighting didn’t waste anytime in overtime, Tyler Johnson went top shelf over Carey Price for the game winner. This was a key game for the Lighting because before the Christmas break they lost to the Capitals 4-0 and all there key guys were out with an injury. But, finally last night they had Nikita Kucherov back along with Ondrej Palat. With them back they get the Triplet Line back, but also get the much-needed goal scorers they need to jump-start a wining streak. This thrilling victory can boost their confidence on the ice, but also help them make that deep playoff run they’ve done the last couple of years and ultimately get the goal every player plays for and that’s to raise the Cup.
