Clay Buchholz is being shipped to Philadelphia by Camdyn Ames

On Tuesday afternoon the Boston Red Sox and Philadelphia Phillies agreed to a trade that would send pitcher Clay Buchholz to Philadelphia for 2nd base prospect Josh Tobias. Buchholz struggled early last year but finished strong en route to an 8-10 record, 4.78 era, in 139.1 innings pitched and allowing 130 hits, 80 runs and 21 home runs while walking 55. The new acquisition to the Sox is 2nd basemen Josh Tobias. Tobias played 34 games in Class-A ball last year, posting a .254 batting average, with 32 hits, 2 home runs, and 14 RBIs. Tobias will most likely start with the Salem Red Sox and play for them for most of the season.
