The news of the day was that the Red Sox acquired starting pitcher Chris Sale from the White Sox for number one prospect in the game INF Yoan Moncada, along with pitchers Michael Kopech, Victor Diaz, and outfielder Luis Basbe. This deal gives them a three-headed monster on the top of their rotation with Price, Sale, and Porcello.

Red Sox sighed Mitch Moreland to a 1year deal. Pending Physical
Philadelphia Phillies signed reliever Joaquin Benoit to a 1yr/$7.5M contract
Rays and Wilson Ramos agree to a 2yr deal. Pending physical coming off an ACL tear.
D-Backs and Fernando Rodney agree to 1yr/ $2.75M deal.
Rangers and Carlos Gomez agree to a 1yr/$11.5M deal. Pending physical
Trades:
Red Sox traded Travis Shaw to the Milwaukee Brewers for pitcher Tyler Thornburg
Right now it's not official but a deal is in place place for Wade Davis to go to the Cubs for Jorge Soler
Rumors:
Everyone thought that the Nationals were going to acquire Sale but in the end didn’t want to give up Tre Turner.
According to Dave Dombrowski (Boston’s GM) said that the Chris Sale trade talks go back to a year ago.
Since Sale was traded look out for the White Sox’s to have a fire sale. (Frazier, Robertson, Eaton, Quintana)
People within the industry are saying the Royals could possibly trade closer Wade Davis
Since the Nationals missed out on Sale, they could turn to Andrew McCutchen and Aroldis Chapman
Cleveland Indians have had negotiations with Edwin Encarnacion but deal seems unlikely
