Hideki Matsuyama dominates, Tiger impresses. Hero World Challenge Final Round Leaderboard by Jake Ma

Albany, Bahamas- The show belonged to Tiger Woods as he made his return to golf this weekend. He played the Hero World Challenge also known as “Tiger’s Tournament” where all money made goes toward the Woods Foundation. But this year it was special due to the fact that it was at his course that he owns with fellow pro golfer Ernie Els.

Tiger put fourth all he had in these rounds to one point even being -10. Even though Tiger shot a final round 76, he still added after the round that he was “ecstatic” that he could play completive golf again.

As a fanatic of golf, and a guy who admires Tiger Woods, it was great to see him out on the course again and the way he played made it even more fun to watch.

But right after Tiger walked off of 18 the course belonged to Hedeki Matsuyama who continued to fly under the radar. He has won his fourth tournament in his last five starts. Hideki grew up watching Tiger. He even added that he has watched Tiger’s 1997 Masters run more than twice. Crazy fact he is even the same age as Tiger was when he had his best career year in 2000. But this week, he beat his idol by 14 strokes.

Round 4 wasn’t the greatest for Matsuyama shooting a final round 73 to finish at -18 for the tournament. Nerves were definitely a factor heading in to Sunday and you could tell from the start. It isn’t easy controlling your emotions in golf as it is a full mental game.

Henrik Stenson had a final round to remember finishing at runner-up for the tournament. Playing in that final grouping for Sunday he knew he had something to prove. He shot a final round 68 with a lot of shots during the round that required a tremendous comebacker. Maybe a couple of more holes could have given him the lead?

Most professional golfers take the winter off and especially for fans there isn’t much golf to watch. This tournament gives the golfers the chance to take the pressure off and have a little fun. I mean it is only a tournament hosted by Tiger Woods how can you not have fun. Here is the final round leaderboard for the Hero World Challenge.
