North Carolina vs. Indiana Preview by Jake Martino
Today at 9:00PM, No. 3 North Carolina will travel to Indiana to take on the Hoosiers. This game is all a part of the ACC/ B1G Challenge which has gotten off to a hot start. This game will be a battle of the big men Isiah Hicks and Kennedy Meeks vs. Thomas Bryant. The game plan for the Tar Heels is simple. Play the way they have been. Moving the ball, shooting threes and playing as a team. ESPN Analyst Jay Bilas has high hopes with a strong statement saying that “The Heels are better right now than they were last year at this time.”. Teams with a lot of high hopes haven’t succeeded so far this season including Indiana who lost a heartbreaker to Fort Wayne. But as I have been saying a loss early is better than a loss late and Indiana will need to prove that statement tonight at 9PM on ESPN. The ACC/ B1G Challenge is currently tied at 4 games apiece. Here are some key facts and individual matchups to look out for
North Carolina just came off a tournament win in Maui so expect the momentum to carry over into this matchup
James Blackmon Jr. is currently the Indiana leader in points with 20.5 PPG
Joel Berry II is currently the UNC leader in points with 17.1 PPG
Some individual matchups:
