On November 10th, the Atlanta Braves signed 42-year-old pitcher R.A. Dickey to a one year $8 million dollar guaranteed deal.
On November 11th, the Atlanta Braves signed 43-year-old pitcher Bartolo Colon to a one year $12.5 million dollar deal.
On November 14th, Mets second basemen Neil Walker accepted a qualifying offer that is worth $17.2 million dollar deal for one year. He’s coming off a season ending back surgery.
On the same day, starting pitcher Jeremy Hellickson agreed to a qualifying offer from the Phillies that is worth $17.2 million for one year.
On November 17th, the Yankees traded catcher Brian McCann to the Astros for pitching prospects Albert Abreu and Jorge Guzman. The Yankees will pay $5.5 million dollars of McCann’s annual salary of $17 million dollars.
That same night the Astros announced the signing of outfielder Josh Reddick. Contract is a four-year deal worth $52 million dollars.
Relief Pitcher Brett Cecil and the St. Louis Cardinals agreed to four-year deal worth $30.5 million dollars that includes a “full no trade clause.”
Starting Pitcher Andrew Cashner agreed to a one-year deal worth $10 million dollars from the Texas Rangers.
On Thanksgiving Eve, the Arizona Diamondbacks traded shortstop Jean Sagura to the Seattle Mariners for starting pitcher Taijuan Walker. It was a five-player deal.
Cather Jason Castro agreed to a deal with the Minnesota Twins that is worth over $24 million guaranteed dollars for three years.
Braves and infielder Sean Rodriguez agreed to a two year deal worth $11 million dollars.
