Wednesday November 23th NBA Preview and Results From Tuesday by Andrew Martin
The NBA has 13 games going tonight featuring some of the most elite teams. Here are my Key Three Matchups for tonight.
Key Three Matchups
Trail Blazers (8-8) vs. Cavaliers (10-2): The Cavs are playing at home tonight after 5 days rest. The Trail Blazers are coming off a 20 points win versus the Nets. On paper, it would look that the Trail Blazers will barely pull this out against the Cavs, but the Cavs are just looking too sharp to lose to a team that has a -4 point differential.
My pick: Cavaliers -7
Raptors (8-6) vs. Rockets (9-5): Two of the top guards, Damian Lillard and James Harden, are facing off tonight. The Raptors have had a few rough losses. They lost to the Kings and the Clippers and almost losing to the Nuggets in OT. The Rockets are on a 3 game win streak and I think they will continue it tonight and James Harden will put up at least 25 against the Blazers.
My pick: Rockets -5
Spurs (11-3) vs. Hornets (8-5): Probably the biggest matchup of the night. The Spurs are on an amazing 6 game win streak, but Kemba Walker is having a career-high season so far. I think that the big key tonight is the Hornets’ injuries for tonight’s game. That is why the Spurs will pull it out tonight.
My pick: Spurs -11
Results From Tuesday
Yesterday, I said that the Thunder would beat the Lakers by 4 points. The Lakers won in a shocker 111-109 with Jordan Clarkson putting up 18 points. Also, I predicted that the Knicks would also pull it out against the tough Trail Blazers. The Knicks won 107-103 with Kristaps Porzingis putting up a surprising 31 points. Finally, I said that the Bulls would beat the Nuggets by 8. The Nuggets won in a close one 110-107 with Jamal Murray putting up a season-high 24 points.
